The commission process is straight forward. Clients find it easy and exciting to be part of the creative process.

During an initial chat in person or by phone or e-mail, we discuss likes and dislikes, any ideas you might have, preference for materials used and an approximate budget.
I then produce a sheet of working drawings with several ideas,
each individually priced, for you to choose from.

Once you are happy with the piece on paper, I hand-make it in my workshop.
When it is finished but not polished, it is sent to Edinburgh to be hallmarked.
On its return, it is polished and any stones set.
It is now ready for collection.

Depending on complexity of design and time of year,
it takes approximately 6-8 weeks to complete a commission.
A shorter completion time is available where possible, by agreement,
if your piece is required for a special date.
