BA (Hons) Post Grad Dip
I am an innovative and versatile designer goldsmith working mainly to commission.
Since graduating, in 1989, from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art,
Dundee, I have been based in the east of Scotland.
With the emphasis always on quality and attention to detail, I have completed
to date a huge variety of projects, ranging from the smallest
of earrings to larger corporate presentation pieces.
Working in all colours and carats of gold, as well as platinum and silver,
I can supply any cut, quality of precious stone and diamonds,
including certificated stones.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me for a chat about any ideas you have in mind.
Visits can be arranged by appointment.
When it comes to designing, I draw greatly on the strong, flowing forms occurring in nature.
It fascinates me how these constantly repeat themselves throughout the natural world from the micro to the macro.
The heart is a form that I am strongly drawn to and it appears much in my work.
I feel it is literally and symbolically the
centre of every thing.
Structurally, it has the most wonderful internal tendonous chords, or heart strings! These powerful forms can also be seen in the roots of trees and in the tidal marking on the beach for example.
Transforming these into metal creates pieces of jewellery with great balance and strength.
